How to post photo?

All the methods I've tried are not working, they all seem outdated. How do you guys post photos? I've tried the methods I've seen and maybe I'm not technologically smart enough

You're very correct, the site is massively outdated. I use the additional options>manage attachments tab down below

I take a pic then text the pic to myself. Then I save the texted pic to my phone. That shrinks it enough for me. Then, I post the text pic on the forum.

I basically use the same technique. I use taptalk and chose the small or medium picture option. Sometimes it takes three tries to post a picture. The upload usually fails at least 2 times.

I just upload to an external photo host and post it that way. No need to deal with texting it to myself or downsizing the picture to the point it is useless.

Works, but valuable reference pics get lost when the links go dead.

This site is frustrating when it comes to picture uploads. They upload for me but won't actually show a pic and instead will show a file.

ALL photo links will eventually go bad and become knowledge lost. Much better to post them to the forum. However, as others have noted, the photo posting system, particularly the small size requirements, are outdated and clunky to use.

I've never had problems loading things here. Let's see what happens.
Original sizes: one pic is 75k, one is 375k, and one is 1.3meg.
The software downsizes everything to 128k

were you using the built in file share like Davbot posted above which I must be dumb about , cause I dont even see that pop up in any of the buttons I hit....

Yes, like he posted above. I'll screenshot this and add some arrows...
I think you have to upload each pic one at a time. Otherwise, it seems to
work fine...

Via my phone, I take a screenshot and then crop the photo - that took this pic from 3.7M down to 532K.
Then using "Manage Attachments" (as others here have outlined) that seems to get me to where the picture uploads.

My technique on my iPhone, cause that’s where I take the photos:

Using the phone’s built-in photo editor: crop it, put it into a 3x4 aspect ratio.

Use these forum buttons in your post:
-Manage attachments
-Choose file - navigate to a photo album, select photo, choose Medium size.
-Upload
-Close the window
-Preview post and see how it looks
-Submit post

Notes:
If your photo is too big the process chokes and won’t upload. Select a smaller size.
Photos of about 400 Kb seem to work best for size and detail, but experiment and Preview before Submitting.
When you Preview and don’t like it, go back and Manage it, delete it and try again.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for sharing your tips. I also want to share my technique, if you can call it that. I sell SUVs, and a lot of cars pass through me. I have to take high-quality photos of these cars and do it so that the customer is satisfied. This is a whole art, in case you didn't know. After I choose the right angles for shooting, I remove photo background so that people's attention is not scattered on the surrounding, and all they see is a car. To do this, you need to choose the right lighting and direct the car towards the sun. This really subconsciously helps the car look better for the buyer.

But for those of us who use our computer & not ours phones?

I could post many more cool pix if not but for file size too large. With my iPhone 12Max the pix are pretty big. And no, I'm not dumbing down my camera for a forum as I frame some pictures...
