the LED i used was 5mm hyper white LEDs. i bought 20 of them for 20 bucks with free shipping. all of the LEDs came with resistor along with 2-3 ft. wire preassembled. the hyper whites look more bluish white rather than pure white. but it's great! you can get them here.

i have seen people changing the needle of the gauge. there are several options. one is to wire an LED directly to the needle which is behind the gauges. i personally have wired an LED to the RPM gauge but can't find a way to put an LED into the MPH gauge.

another solution is to sand the needle to be clear and repaint the needle as please. this option is too crucial to take which i'm afraid i might mess up. but i will try to see if i could put blue LEDs into my gauges and see how that would turn out.

Alright kool. I want to get the light color white for both the gauges and the needles. Just like how some lexuses have it. By touching the needle, will it mess it up? ( like the alignment and stuff and show 15 mph when im going 30 for example?) because im thinking of sanding it.

Yea i can take some pictures here in the next few days, i didn't do my climate control lights because I have the automatic ac tho. But I did basicly everything else.

Console lighting mod

Hey you all,

I did this mod on my 99 T4R and it was not that difficult. Though, the toughest part was getting the right light bulbs ordered.
Going through these treads, it was not easy finding the right info for the 99 T4R as far as the light bulbs needed. So I originally ordered 7 #74 light bulbs and 2 #194 light bulbs. It turns out, i actually need 9 #74 and only 1 #194. The #194 going under the shifter. Here is a finish product, though I still need two light bulbs (#74), one for glove box and one for ashtrey.
