Hub dust cover removal

I use a blunt old wood chisel I dont care about to use a wedge and tap around the perimeter then move up to a big flat screwdriver and twist it evenly around the perimiter until pops off in perfect condition. Putting it back on I just wack it in the center with a rubber dead blow. The trick is to carefully use an actual wood chisel you know with like a knife edge end so it gets right in and cracks it at the start. Flat side on the hub. Then you can pretty much use whatever after its started.

So, yeah. I'm using it as a pry bar and chisel. Living dangerously.
