HUGE signatures

well i for one dont see the need for even small pics in your sig, thats what the avatar is for, you let people have "small pics" in their sigs, then within 2 weeks we are right back to where we have 800x600 size pics in sigs.

perhaps the mods should limit the sig area to 3 lines of text, that should be enough for even the most re****ed individual to list out where they have their LEDs or which clear corners they have.
 
hell... as a side note, i even think my sig is too long, but after my old nav unit sells it will be back to two lines.
 
You guys inspired me to cut some bulk out of my sig, i didnt really think it was that big to begin with but it was bigger than it needed to be. I cant stand all these long sigs either, but like to know a bit about what someone has done to their ride when I am reading their posts.
On jeepforum.com they have a system (must be a newer better version of vbulletin) that you configure everything you have done to your rig and under your user name it will say "2002 TJ" or something like that here it would be "2004 4runner" but when you scroll over that a little box will drop down showing what that person has or what they have done, that way you can still get the info without the signatures. I really wish we could use that system (also you can preview the first few lines of the tread without opening it which is nice too)
Also RonMaiden has smaller text in his sig... how do you do that? I would like to do that, and maybe that should be mandatory too... just a thought.

In the box where you type the text for your signature, type "[S I Z E=1]" in front of the text, and "[/S I Z E]" at the end of it.

Don't use the spaces inside "SIZE." Without the spaces, it shrunk my text rather than showing you the correct format to insert.

I have. Thats why I made my signature font smaller so it takes up even less space. I did it a week or 2 ago, and I like it better this way.

Members should have their signature like HB 4x4 (Josh)

or rook does is have an entire Thread on his truck & he puts that ONE Thread in his signature.

I agree, and yours also, both are VERY cool, very informative, and doesnt take a whole page, lol
I really like that some of ya take the time to do that with the links :bigok:
One of these days, when my rig gets modded enough, Ill do the same.

seriously ADMINS, we need this crap taken care of, EVERY member on here has massive signatures with pictures of their trucks...

on some of these threads i see the same signatures 3 or 4 times on a page. enough is enough, make these users obey the rules please!

seriously ronmaiden, we have avatars for pictures of our trucks (or dogs) they should not be included in your signature.

i also believe that perhaps there should be a sub forum for people to post pictures and what they have done to their trucks kind of like a forum garage, and then just allow a hot link to that page in the signature right below the year and model and engine.

that would make the pages load faster and probably prevent this site from crashing so much
