So I had to drop the rig off at a shop to replace my CV boots. It is nearing snow/elk season and I was not interested in throwing the truck in 4WD with leaking CV's!
I had the parts to swap out one set of inners and outers, but simply ran out of time to do it myself. I had 7 trees to cut and split, which took all of my project time this days off....I know it is a poor excuse
Anyway, I am hoping they do a thorough inspection while they are down there because I have been noticing a pretty heavy vibration when downshifting to around 3k RPMs...any ideas on that???
let me know when you get your exhaust routed.
Mine bumps a little bit on certain bumps. but dam it looks good all tucked up inside the bumper.
looking good for sure.
Very nice...did you ever figure out your vibration?
Bumper looks great man! Your rig is really coming along! :guitar3:
Just creeping over from the 5G side as green is my favorite color and wanted to see one modded up. Very nicely done my friend! Read the thread and you did very good work and the documentation is first rate. That is a nice looking vehicle. I am patiently waiting for green to be offered on the 5th gen...
Shrockworks and CBI for the win - looks great!
Do you have an elk tag this year? What sex and unit? Good luck, let us know how you do.
Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick! Congrats man. Makes me want to pull the trigger even more.

I have some good shots of the scouting I have been doing for elk season, I have just not loaded them yet!!
Stay Tuned!!

Sweet rig.![]()
Diggin that your a Specialized man!
Awesome. How was the scouting? What are you expectations, size wise? Think your hunt will coincide with the rut?
Never have any expectations! Would like to get a bull that is legal, I am not a trophy hunter...and the meat is really not all that great. My uncle is hunting for a cow, so hopefully we can both fill our tags which will in turn fill about 3 families freezers.
Scouting has been going well, have seen some big animals and some big animals coming out from teh 1st season hunters. I am going to hit it hard 1 more day tomorrow, and then the season starts. Will keep you posted!
