I believe for this job yes, because the water was up to the tippy top of the middle two holes show in the pictures so I siphoned those out the old fashioned way of suckin on a tube, like ghetto people steal gas. After that she started to come back.

The engine will not fire up with the intake off (if that's what you mean). The engine won't fire up even if just the air tube isn't connected to the throttle body. The unhooked vacuum lines will probably not let it fire up either.

No good news tonight, going to pull the final straw tomorrow and pull the oil pan off and see if what I cant see.

good to hear it is turning over now, you are definitely not going to be able to get it to start with the intake off like that. You need all of the intake tubing up to the MAF for it to run, it may stumble for a second or two without a MAF, but is won't run...

Hmm so just dump the fluids to let it dry out quicker same with plugs. If the starter is fine. Did you happen to check the oil after it happened? I checked before I went wheeling, then checked again after it happened to seenif water raised the level. Course nothing cause it had blown.

Guys, not sure if I have a hydro locked motor or whatever its called.

I pulled all the plugs out, turned it over and no water came out, also did an oil change.

Currently the truck turns over and runs like a diesel (knocking) and spews out white smoke, my auto shop tells me that I need a new motor.

Anyone have any ideas? Much appreciated.

If you hear a loud knocking that changes when you rev at the bottom end and shooting smoke sounds like you hydrolocked the motor. The water has no where to go so it just bends a valve. You need a new motor most likely.

If you need a new motor, I think there is a place in Houston. I see their motors on Craigslist all the time. No idea if they are junk or good, just seen them on there.

You could always file an insurance claim as well. Insurance covers this kind of thing if you have full coverage.
