I love my 4Runner, anyone who dislikes the 4Runner obviously has never owned one. Best vehicle around, no doubt in my mind.

Funny reading this post, because I know someone who really does despise their 4runner. My brother just picked up a brand new 08 yesterday for his wife but I guess she wanted a Lexus RX350 instead. She HATES the 4runner.

The sad part is the media has long forgotten the 4Runner/GX. I got my latest Truck Trend which was the SUV of the year issue. Just a couple years ago the 4Runner/GX was winning everything in sight. Now they don't even have it in the comparisons. I have driven just about every new SUV on the market and I can honestly say that the 4Runner is STILL one of the best mid-sized SUVs on the market (if not the best bulletproof bang for the buck). It's amazing how the media manipulates the comparisons to justify leaving out certain vehicles that will make the new models look bad. They ended up picking the Mazda CX-9, which is NOT even an SUV (it's a crossover). It is basically a big AWD station wagon. Mazda's RX! (the RX also was not included in the comparo).

I actually am beginning to hate mine... it's just like some really good drug that ends up taking over your life. Every weekend, my wife tells me: "well... I need my fix, so lets take the 4Runner out on some trails." I can't seem to get anything else done!

I think someone needs to create 4Runners Anonymous...
