I understand having good high beams and installing lightbars like you spend your weekends lamping but consider other drivers coming the other way.
Try driving in a different vehicle towards your own vehicle and that should tell you if you are being an arse or not.
Check out this fool, way too many vehicles that drive around like this. This hurts my eyes, but then it could just be my eyes.

In VA every month for family and never been stopped. Also when I go up there to do my inspections, they never questioned or failed me for my HIDs or after market fogs. Also technically by law led bars must have covers but uh no thanks haha. It's not really enforced, I can see them using it against you if you act like an A-hole but other than that never been stopped for anything. Just reaim them so no one hates you, the cut off is sharp.

Well, if they pass someone with very bright lights, you can bet they'll be pulling around and making a stop. Some people use their led light bars on during daytime hours and what do you know...they are bright during the daytime too. Screw the people that do that. Heck, screw people that use "off-road only lights" on the road. Best part about it is that when an oncoming vehicle has crashes into you or veers off the road due to blatantly-blinding lights, you'll likely be held liable in a court of law once an inspection of your vehicle finds that your lights are not compliant.
Takes a fair amount of evidence, but well-worth it.

Agreed, I have LED pods and a light bar, but I only use them on dark back roads when no one is coming towards me and shut them off the second I see headlights coming the other direction. I cannot stand people who put LED light pods or light bars on their vehicle and drive around during the day with them like they're DRL's or fog lights., So goddamn inconsiderate!

I’m plenty grown up and I assure you my line of work gives me far more perspective on what matters than most.
I have to do emissions testing every other year. Thank god for that or I’d for sure be living in Mexico...God forbid my exhaust wasn’t stock...
I get the point of it to a degree. Good tires. Safe brakes. All that stuff. But come on...shaking people down for a different light bulb, tinted windows, or non-OEM wiper blades. Total scam to the core. That’s beyond the realm of assessing safety. That’s the fleecing of pocket books, brother.

tinted side windows can be a dangerous for the police during a traffic stop.. utah alone has had way too many officers gunned down because they couldnt see what was going on within a vehicle during a stop..
lighting.. that's a tough one, you could do it tastefully and get away with it or you can be that douche bag out there w/ blue as F lighting aimed for air traffic.. i believe the laws are in place to keep those guys off the road
now wipers.. wow that's extreme ..
you know what southern utah could use before its too late... smog testing.. while our air quality is still amazing compared to most places, its starting to degrade with the thousands and thousands of people moving here.. i used to be able to keep my windows down and cruise around without suffocating.. but now we get some nasty unmaintained, modified, diesel or gas engine POS ruining it for the rest of us

There’s a disgusting lack of respect for law and law enforcement all together. We won’t disagree on that.
I’m certainly not advocating for obnoxious lighting. I’m pretty sure I never once have given my stance on HIDs in inappropriate housings. My one and only point has already been stated. No need to beat a dead horse.
Now emissions testing is pointless unless the entire state does it. I have to test my vehicle every other year but if I lived one town over (more rural) then I wouldn’t. Soooo...yeah...

just had to deal with this last night..clown in a lifted z71 must have put the brightest freaking HID's in his rig possible..they were literally blinding and he was driving behind me..luckily the 4r is a little higher so I was able to somewhat keep it out of my eyes, but if I looked in the side mirrors forget it..can't imagine him behind someone in a regular car or passing in the other direction.. They were clearly on low..I know the cops can give tickets for that around here, just not sure how often it happens..
