I know there are thousands of threads on this, but what do I get for a solid 3" lift?

I want to get a 3" lift that comes with new coils and springs, but doesnt have the ugly OME yellow. Don't want to spend more than a grand. I don't want a 2.5 or 2.75, I just want a 3" lift so I can fit some fat tires of it and make it look sick!

My suggestion is 5100's all around, OME's up front (add a top spacer if needed depending on which coil you go with), Toytec Superflex in the rear. This seems to be a great combo from what I've read, and I know I love the 5100/OME that I'm running on the front. All can be had and stay within your budget.

Best bet is probably the Toytec Ultimate or OW 2.0/2.5, depending on how much you're willing to spend and what you're looking for, i.e. aesthetics, off-roading, rocks, etc.

With the ome 884 would you use te top spacer and with the 885 you wouldn't use it.

But if I get those bilsteins wouldn't that not work? I would get the 885s with the full 3in top out, but those shocks only say they work up to 2.5in... I don't get it

Is your 4runner v6 or v8? It is 4wd correct? The only difference between 884s and 885s is length. I got right at 3" lift from the 885s, don't think you'll need the spacer. The 5100s can adjust to provide up to 2.5" lift which is why they're advertised like that. From what I've read there shouldn't be any issues running them on the lowest setting with the OMEs.

Your 5100's are at the lowest setting with the 885's? also what size are your tires?

Yup, at the lowest setting. 285/70/17's.

I have this exact same setup minus the tires.

thanks for the help. I would like to go bigger tires like a 265/70/18 but im getting such a good deal on 275/65/18 I dont wanna pass it up. thanks for the help.
