I know this has been beaten..but HID/Fog questions.

That's really weird, maybe I'm confused but you may have ordered the wrong bulb kit OR received the wrong one!

I know my bulbs (fogs) from DDM had an issue on the right side for some reason. I had it screwed into the fog housing but it kept falling out and I couldn't figure out why. I finally got it in and haven't had an issue with it in about 3 months, hope it stays that way!

Bought the 9006/HB4's from DDMtuning. Supposed to fit.
Unfortunately a Google search shows the long bulbs don't fit in a lot of cars fogs (especially) even though they claim to replace 9006's.

Some posts on this forum say they solved the length problem by letting the bulb hang out the back of the fixture a bit and use a lot of silicone seal. That does not interest me at all and I love a good kludge.

It's really annoying that DDMtuning has such a great support section and knowledge base on their site and do not address or warn of this problem. I promise they know about it given all the Mazda's, Camry's, 4Runners (3rd and 4th gen), and motorcycles that bought 'em and junked 'em.

I'm supposing there may be some production variations or different sources that let some 4gen'ers get them to fit. Some apparently do get them to fit.

That's odd, I've never heard of the HB4 style, but I did read one post where ARK had to modify the bulb base in order to get it to fit properly into the bulb housing.

Hi,

If the bulbs are not fitting properly (i.e.: too long) then they are most likely not rebased properly. This means that even if you somehow get them to fit the bean pattern will be horrible.

You should not have to modify anything in a 9006 / HB4 application.
