I've had my 2011 SR5 for approx 17 months. It has 8000 miles / 12000KM and I drive it every day. This is my first Toyota and my first 4 runner. I cannot believe how much I love my truck. I love driving it and the way it looks. I love the fact that I don't think twice about it when I leave it parked anywhere. I love the fact that it has tons of storage space and is super comfortable for road trips.

Sorry for the useless thread. I'm a happy 4 runner owner.

Hey I'm with you! I had a 2007 Supercharged Range Rover that was beautiful. But in an effort to reduce costs I got into my 2010 TE and I cant believe it.....I like it better! I love it :driving:

Love my TE

Have had my 2011 TE for almost a year and still loving it. Coming off of a 1997 Montero Sport so almost anything would be an upgrade, but love the look, the ride, the storage, the sound system. Might have to cut outta work early just to go for a spin.
 
WadeMetzinger: I'm a little crazy when it comes to my cars. I used to always park at the edge of the parking lots or find the "ideal" parking place when I had to park in between other cars. For some reason, I don't have the same OCD issues with the 4runner which makes it easy =)
 
I'm that way with all of my vehicles. So I expect to be that way with the T4R. I was thinking that maybe since it sat up higher you didn't have to worry about door dings or something....
 
I'm getting running boards as well, so hopefully this will ease my OCD tendencies! Especially since it will be my wife primary transportation.
 
Out of respect to the OP.......

One of my best days was on 1-29-2011. 25,000 miles later and I love it even more. A few more mods to make it just MINE, and a few more chuckles from the wife and kids and I will be done. Until then, I will continue to add and subtract changes until it is beyond perfect (we all know our TE's were perfect when they rolled off the line in Japan).

I am one of the guys that drives it daily and also utilizes all the wizardry for what it was designed for on the weekends. I truly love my TE. It is the greatest vehicle I have had, from Ford, Land Rover, Chevy, BMW, Mercedes, you name and I have had it. This vehicle is by far the best.

This forum has certainly aided in my enjoyment of this vehicle, and for that I thank you all!

I was never a "car person". Didn't know anything about cars and have never done a single mod. After I got this baby, love....

I agree with Reata on this forum, grew my passion for my truck even more!
 
24000 miles, and our TE has done everything that has been asked of it, from Toronto to Ft. Lauderdale. Tow 4000 lbs? Sure!

Off-roading (err, actually WV county highways ... made of shale) with 4 adults, one 3 year old, and a pile of crap in the back in it? No problem got more?

Mud up to the axles in KY clay? Don't even bother with 4 low.

Soft, soft sand on a MD beach? Pull the handle to 4hi, keep going.

And the wife really likes to drive it, which is my favorite feature.

The only consistently annoying thing about the vehicle is that the navigation system wants to route you over the aforementioned WV roads, and seems work out your arrival time based on 35 mph on them. That's not something I'd ask it to do.

I don't remember exactly where it is, but play with the NAV settings for a while. There is a place where you can adjust your speed for different types of roads.
