What's your definition of high speed offroad? Our definitions may not be the same.

Bombing down pothole riddled fire roads at over 40mph? Yes.

Running over 40mph over the beach, through wash outs, up dunes, but not jumping & getting air? Yes.

Doing 80mph on horrible Louisiana interstates and highways that are uneven and riddled with cracks and potholes? Yes.

The tire moves a little, you can see some flex going over bumps/holes/etc, but it's not all over the place. Every time I've checked the mounting hardware, it's still tight and there are no rattles nor squeaks.

Pretty close to what I was lookin for. I'm in SoCal and as the name suggests do a bit of desert runnin', so small/medium whoops, choppy roads around 60mph, and occasional small jumps.

Biggest concern would be hitting the rear hatch with strong enough oscillation from short, choppy whoops.

While the tire is closer to the hatch than most, the way it's built it flexes less than those with straight arms. It would take a very large force to make it contact the hatch... how much, I don't know, but I haven't reached that point yet.

When I first got it installed, I grabbed the top of the tire and put my weight (I'm 6'2" 220lbs, so I've got some mass to put behind it) into it, trying to force contact and I couldn't make it do it.

This is the info I got in a PM from [MENTION=110183]SouthernSS[/MENTION] on 3-2-22.

I'll get an update and post it once I am able to talk to our RnD. He has been combing through the files that were sent over, was interrupted by the New Tundra that was dropped off for us to use. He is currently on vacation but as soon as he gets back, I'll check-in and give everyone an update.

Just like Saker mentioned, I'll work on getting an update on the tire carrier this week. We were lucky to have a local customer lend us his 2022 Tundra for a while so we are trying to get that build done as soon as possible to get him his truck back.

We just got back from the Toyota Jamboree. We should be finishing up a few things on the 2022 Tundra and then getting back to this and a few other designs we were working on. As of right now, no other updates.


Once our engineer has more information, I'll be sure to make an update post.

I was worried about the wait on this (or if it would ever even happen), so I just finished up CAD plans for my own. Just placed the metal supermarkets order. I wish I could weld, but I can do all of the cuts. I'll have to pay someone to do the welding for it.

The market is very very limited in these. Shocking to me SSO hasn't jumped all over it.
