This morning i went to go to work and when i went to turn my truck on, i only heard a click coming from the starter. I swapped it out with a spare starter that I had, it continues to only click once. What can i do or at least begin to look at.
Hey- Make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight. You're not getting enough juice to the starter. Another thing to check is if there is a "Starter Relay" I had to replace this on a Dodge van. Some starters have the starter relay built in. I don't know about Toyota. Low battery, bad connections, starter relay. You already replaced the starter. Hope this helps...
update...the negative terminal has a crack along so I went ahead and replaced it...changed out the starter relay for one that I know works, and checked for shorts along the wires and still nothing. I checked the voltage on the battery out of the car and it read 16v don't know if that's good or bad. still take any advice
