I need more buying advice for this Sat.

Is it just the base V8 Sport? or are there options involved??

Base V8 Sport 4WD (according to Edmunds.com Pricing):

MSRP: $32,790+565 dest. = 33,355
Invoice: $29212+565 dest.=29,777

add to those prices the costs of any options.
subtract from that price any incentives and rebates.

that's the baseline you should be working from.

It has/had sunroof, JBL upgrade, rear spoiler, floor mats, and double decker. MSRP $35,080, incvoice $31,133 , and TMV of $32,258. I can buy the car all day long at TMV, but that isn't good enough for me.

Carmax was 5k off sticker. I felt like it was a good deal. I would only pay sales tax on 6k, and finance the difference. No big deal there.

Sounds to me like you're pretty much close to taking the white one and that deal. :

Figure with taxes, tags, etc...you're $29,998 will come in around what? $31k and some change (paying tax only on $6k).

That's not a bad price at all for a 4WD SE with those options.

What was your first color choice anyway?

I called them a few minutes ago to go ahead and buy the white one, it sold over the weekend. They can do a dealer trade for a V6 Sport, same options in Galactic (1st choice), or a black (second choice).

So now I'm back trying to decide between a V6 and V8. I for sure don't NEED the V8 for anything. Heck I could get by with a 4x2 Tacoma if it really came down to it!

have you driven both the V6 & V8 ??

Definately do so before buying. I liked the v8 kick at the low end. But in order to be practical I settled for the v6. I NEVER tow anything and the cost savings (gas) were what convinced me the 6 was the right choice for my needs.


So you're probably loving life now. Knowing that you won't have to settle for that white SE.

Don't think you can go wrong on either (Galactic or Black). But I will tell you I have a black and it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep clean. But DAMN if it don't look sweet as hell when it's freshly washed.

That's the one reason (cleaning) I've never owned a black car! I love them both! I'll go for the one with the better options!
