I need more powa', Captain! (Reverse Lights)

So I was afraid this was going to happen one day, and it finally did. I tinted my windows awhile back and now it's hard to see anything behind when I back up. I've always been good, but tonight I wasn't being careful enough and ran into the side of a car :redbrick:. Luckily, it was a friend's car and it only put a small dent just under his taillight. He actually laughed about it and could care less about it, but I told him I was going to pay for it anyways. My bumper already had a dent from the previous owner so no real damage there done.

So short story, I need a solution! I need a way to light up anything behind me so I can see what I'm backing into. Beyond that, I'm no expert on where or how to mount them so any advice for that would be awesome too! I've done some searches around and found a couple threads such as Stealth Reverse Backup Lights...

Also found these: Super Bright CREE Chip LED Reverse Light Bulb to replace stock reverse lights.

Changing the reverse lights is one thing, but I want more! So I'm up for any ideas anyone has for me. Bring it on! I want to get something installed before the end of the week if I can...

I've got one of these V-LEDs High Power License Plate Frames installed on my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited and I love it--it's ridiculously bright:

I wired mine up to a dash-mounted switch, but all that it really needs to work is to be tapped into your reverse light circuit's hot/positive wire and grounded and it'll energize whenever reverse is engaged.

A quick google search for "V-LEDs High Power License Plate Frame" will yield results like these (the pictures I saw posted in these two threads are what convinced me to take a chance on buying mine--and I have no regrets--I love it.):

I'll be keeping an eye on this as I, too, am having the same issue. I have been looking at putting a pair of Rigid Industries Duallies either on the back of my roof rack or on the rear bumper below the tail lights

Was thinking this too, but those are some expensive reverse lights though. Def want some in the front and perhaps sides, but was thinking led bars for that. I'd look like a space ship I suppose now that I think about it.

yeah, they aren't cheap, thats for sure!! the up side to them, however, is that they are so bright you could probably get away with having only one in flood beam back there for reversing. I am actually about to put a 10" single row RI bar in my factory hood scoop as an experiment for highbeam assistance :jump:
