I Need to Get Complete List of Installed Options ??

Hi,

First of all, my stealership is crap and I bought my 03 T4R SR5 Sport in Nov-04. I really need to know what all the installed options are. I know this sounds bad considering I've already bought the vehicle, but it's the details I want.

For example:

1. Do I have outside heated mirrors? I have a fuse for them and short of wiring an ameter in series with the fuse then trying to freeze one of the mirrors with a CO2 fire extinguisher, I don't know. No matter how cold it gets here, one mirror is always clear and one isn't. I have 6K miles left on my warranty... get it?

2. What are the exact specs of the stock stereo system? Is it a JBL system? Does it use the digital or analog amplifier. I've been told recently that if there's a JBL logo on the head unit, it uses the digital amplifier.

3. Does anyone know where I can get the tissue box holder on the inside of the center console lift lid? The stealership wants $110 for a whole new lid and all I need is the little plastic piece to hold a travel box of kleenex.

Even with these little anoyances, I love the truck and I can't imagine driving anything else. Thanks.

1. If you have a Sport Edition (with the hood scoop and painted outside mirrors) they should both be heated. However, they turn on with the rear defroster and aren't automatic. Try this: turn on the rear defroster and feel the mirrors, they should get at least a little warm.

2. I'm pretty sure only JBL systems use a digital amplifier because those have surround sound capabilities. Non-JBL systems have an internal amp and are analog. Check the speakers on the bottom of each door, if you have "JBL Synthesis" labeled on the speakers, you have a JBL system. JBL systems also have 10 speakers whereas stock systems without JBL only have 6.

3. I thought all 4th gens came with a tissue box holder inside the lid? Mine has one, but the tissue box was very difficult to locate, I went through about 6 boxes before finding one that would fit. Here's a picture of Luxury's lid with tissue box.click here. I just stuck a full-sized box of tissue in the center console, it fits well in there.

1. Since you have the Sport Edition, you have heated mirrors. That is standard equipment on the Sport's. Both mirrors should clear off the same way. I recommend getting that fixed before the warranty is expired because that would be covered.

2. I am not that familar with the specs of the systems, but if yours is a JBL, it will say it on top. Also, there are two kinds of JBL systems, one with an in-dash 6 CD player and one with a single CD player. Don't hold me to this, but don't all of the systems use a digital amplifier? On my stock base unit, it says digital audio on it.

3. The tissue box holder is in the center console. Open it up and look under the lid, you will feel a cutout of it. Insert tissue box and you are ready to go!

1. Heated outside mirrors turn on when you turn on the rear defrost button. If only one is warm, have the dealership check it out under warranty.

2. JBL = digital

3. There should be a "cubby" area inside the lid for a kleenex box.
