I have had my ATT Blackberry Bold since December. I am still in love with it. This is extremely rare for me as I typically get a new phone every 4months from boredom.
There is a slight learning curve for the OS but after seeing how intuitive it is you wonder how you ever had anything different. BB Push email is actually unreal.
Have you ever had a smartphone or have you only had dumbphones.
Oh yea, the $30 a month data plan is a necessity for BB's. Its not required with ATT but all you have is a fancy Razr w/ querty keyboard.

Well I've been very satisfied with my Blackberry Curve. I run pretty much daily and so I use it as my mp3 player. Web surf and email.. enough to get by to kill some boredom. Overall it's a true workhorse and does all that I need it to do. Right now I think all Curve's are free with some sort of plan signup. I'm on ATT.

My brother had the latest Blackberry 3-4 weeks ago and dumped it because of electronic "bugs" in the software. He then proceeded to the Iphone...and he loves it! I know nothing about these high tech phones, but i hear that Iphone applications are unrivaled...by far.
For me, i have Sprint as my carrier and i have a military spec phone, Sanyo SCP-7050.

i have a BB and love it. easy to use. does everything i need. i use tmob and the service is awful at home and work but i use the wifi function and it helps. plus the desktop mngr is great. i always back up my phone in case i lose it, im only 2mins away from restoring it instead of going to all my friends 'i lost your info can you send it' iPhone eh...i havent used one so i cant say for sure but it seems like too much. there is a lot of apps for the BB if you look hard enough, and storage is cheap a 2gb card was like $8

Had a Blackberry, hated it. Went with the iPhone, and loved it. Then I upgraded to the iPhone 3G when it came out, and love it even more.
I've owned a few normal phones as well, and they were all terrible. Most of them I don't know their names, but one of them was the RAZR which sucked.
IMO there's a reason the iPhone is unrivaled by any other phone. However, the problem lies in that only ATT offers it so everyone else is out of luck.

RAZR and look-a-likes all have no-so-good reception due to their internal antenna, which i think is at the base of the phone (where the mic is). This is why i like the old fashion pull-out-antenna-at-the-top phones. I have consistently beat out Iphones, BB, and other phones with reception and speed of connection. And at my workplace, my phone is the only one that i know of that can be used in the elevator!

My first smart phone was a Motorola Q9m from Verizon. I enjoyed that phone and it did everything I needed it to. My only complaint was the battery life, which was terrible.
I switched to AT&T around 11 months ago because I wanted to try out an iPhone 3G. When I first bought it, the iPhone dropped every other call and was very glitchy. After a few updates, the phone is tolerable. There are endless apps available for the iPhone, which is nice (and costly at times).
AT&t service is not the greatest in my area. I still have more dropped calls than with Verizon. Overall, I like Verizon customer service MUCH better. I still haven't decided if I want to switch back after my contract is up. I can get a new phone with AT&T in January. Regardless, my next phone WILL BE a Blackberry Bold or 8330. I highly doubt I would buy another iPhone.

but in all seriousness, i highly doubt any phone can touch the iphone in software/technology... yes even the new palm pre. and sprint is the worst carrier ever so avoid them like the plague.
if you don't need a smartphone, the next brand of phone i recommend is sony ericsson. before switching to the iphone in 2007 i used only SE phones because they were built well, battery lasted a really long time, and easy to mod the software.
i know verizon has a great network, but had a bad experience with them... tmobile has pretty shoddy coverage and so far att has been good for me. i'm in nj, pa, and va a lot and have always gotten decent service in those areas.

Service around my house and workplace is superior to everything else.Quite a variety of opinions ..... also seems a lot of reception which can be carrier related more so than phone related . I am with US Cellular . The reception with my Razr and W385 (both Moto's) is exceptional even in the middle of nowhere in northern Wisconsin.
US Cell does not carry the Iphone and I as a comp. user run Mac , but oh well. If I switch to a different carrier it will probably be sprint.
I live kind of in milwaukee and everyone one of my friends that has ATT here has bad service , that what Im saying it's not always the phones.

I think I'm going to get a BB curve 8830 in Titanim. That should do everything an I phone can do ....correct ?? If not ... educate me .
See the IPhone here need at be an ATT carrier which is just fricken horrible here as reception goes .
I've heard good and bad about all carriers & phones , like our tire debates . ( we all know K-Mart makes the best off road tires yet we still argue about all the others ....lol.)
The Iphone peaks my interest , but I'm kinds screwed. I would think it a good phone as most of the are today.
Service means a lot to me and US Cellular had been wonderful to me.
