I-Pod Touch 5th Gen

OK I did a search but came up with very little info, I am contemplating buying a 5th gen I-Pod touch to stream music over the bluetooth connection to my LE.
I hooked up my 5th Gen Nano via the USB and it kinda lags a little when scrolling or jumping to another song.

My question is, does streaming the music over th BT connection give you a faster response to your commands?

Can you search for music through your stereo or do you have to search for music using the I-Pod.?

It's kinda pricey for a I-Pod touch but if it works very well I'll pony up the $$$, can't seem to find many 16GB ones out there though only 8 and 32GB.

Thanks

I have my Nano hooked up to the USB and use my Iphone for streaming Pandora and iPod music if needed.

The lag is the same on both...one doesn't appear to be faster than the other.

I only use Bluetooth to stream my music via iPod touch or iPhone. You can use the stereo or steering wheel controls for volume and skipping to the next song. You need to interface with your device to choose specific albums, songs, etc.

I have an old Iphone 3gs setup as an ipod hooked up via usb and use my iphone 4 via bluetooth. the usb one is slower to display folders but once they load it scrolls fast and its easy to navigate, no lag.
My bluetooth iphone never has lag.
By the way I have the standard radio not the Nav unit.

I am glad to hear that the nano works rather then the iPod. I held off from buying one because I wanted to make sure. My plan is to plug the nano into aux-in jack down in the front center desk. Then, I want to use the 12v for my wifi and apple TV. I am hoping to keep all three divides in the small compartment next to the aux output. What I still need to find out is:

1) after plugging in the nano via the aux-in jack, can it be controlled via the nab radio? Or, maybe using the bluetooth is the better option?

2) Will my Sprint hotspot link up with the nab system?

If any of you have played around with this, please share your findings! Lastly, for those of you who hate it when questions are asked that have already been answered, I am just starting to search and found this posting; sorry in advance and the first round will be on me.:happens: If I meet you on the trail in New England, the first round and the porterhouse is on me!
