Yes. It was voted as one of the worst vehicles ever made and it be fugly.

My mom had an older ridgeline before we got her out of it and into a Toyota. It was a solid little vehicle and had some really good features and pretty spacious cabin. I think it fits the need for a lot of people for an in-town pickup duty, but it's definitely not going to do well offroad or perform like a half ton.

Most new and redesigned vehicles have flaws on their first year or two hence the reason people say to avoid the debut year. My dad bought one of the first Chevy Colorados that came out back then and the transmission puked all the fluid out in the driveway.
