It's an SR5 with TE wheels. It already disconnects into 2WD with the turn of a dial.
God I hated manual locking hubs. Vice grips looking for a place to clamp.
LOL!
I couldn't tell if its an SR5 or what, just assumed it was a TE with the wheels!
I dunno, I surely don't run crappy Warns on my truck, the stock manual hubs are just fine for most every situation! The only thing I can think of, judging by the other photos from that company in Hilo, is that they're gonna go with a big lift and this allows them a couple of inches more than what they would get without manual hubs.
Don't ask me why, I'm a 3rd generation local boy from Oahu, but I've seen all sorts of crazy shidt on Toyotas! If you've ever been there, Toyotas are about 50% of the population's choice for vehicles (lately, most of them are 4 runners or tacomas!), the other 40% are Honduhs, and every kid dreams of either having a slammed or jacked ride to cruise around in!
Yeah, been there, done both of them too. I now have come to my senses and use what's the most reliable for the trails I run, not just go with a huge lift and tires cuz it looks cool!!!
