I reached out to Steve with TPM initially on 3/29 about servicing my 2.5 Coilovers and 2.0 Smoothbody rear shocks. In my inquiry I requested new 700lb rate coils be installed as well as a new collar on one of the coilovers as one had been warped from adjustment. We talked about rates for service per model of shock, turn around time (2 days), and what parts would need to be ordered vs what he currently had in stock.
A little over a week later on 4/6, I contacted him to let him know they were on the way and supplied him with a tracking number for our records. They arrived at his shop on 4/11. Very little communication transpired over the time they were at his shop. 9 days later they shipped from his shop via the same service (UPS Ground) that I had them shipped originally. I paid freight both ways (was to be expected) and received them on 4/24.
Upon opening the packages I discovered that one of the collars had not been replaced rendering preload adjustment on the strut very difficult if not impossible with the new coils. I plainly requested, in writing, that it needed to be replaced. He very specifically told me that he had only one extra collar in stock and that he would allocate to the job. So it wasn't perfect, whatever. Am I going to ship it back (4days) for it to sit in his shop (4days) for another to be installed and then shipped back (4 days)?
I installed them all that afternoon with the exception of one coilover because one of the bushings sent back for the lower bearing was for another vehicle (diameter was too small). Now I admit that I sent them in with the coilovers because they were stuck and I did not want my handiwork attempting to remove them. However, I would expect that the organization on his end be a little better and to be a bit more thorough when preparing these to be shipped.
I did contact him early Tuesday afternoon (~1pm EST) and informed him that I had received the wrong bushing. He replied an hour or so later saying he was sorry and would have a set drop shipped from ICON that day. Well its friday, still nothing in the mail (all services have already run) and the communication with Steve is relatively inconsistent compared to the initial inquiry conversations.
*At the time of writing this he is just now looking for a tracking number from ICON about the replaced bushings.*
A 2nd vehicle was used throughout this entire process to make life much easier and the attempt was made to always keep the channels of communication open.
Now I may not have a fancy setup like many pre runners out west and spend thousands upon thousands for suspension services all the time, but for a service that cost me just over $800 without the shipping there or back, I expected a bit more professionalism when dealing with a business that is promoted by the manufacturer themselves.

My final thoughts are this: If you have a reputable business that will perform the service, you are better off there.
Please let me know what you all think. Am I b****ing too much? Post what experiences you've had and where. ICON only lists 4 or 5 places as "certified" to do the service.
& here is what the truck has looked like for the past 3 weeks.
