Idle is about 500 RPM lower than it should be after instrument cluster light swap

Well after I swapped out my instrument cluster lighting to white, I noticed my RPM needle is about 500 RPM lower than it should be. The needle will read 100-200 RPM when the engine is warm and in neutral. Absolutely nothing is wrong with the engine, it's running completely normal, the needle just reads 500 RPM lower than it should. I pulled everything apart today to see if I could find anything wrong and couldn't. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

The first thing I would do is run it up to 2000 rpm and see if you get 1500 rpm, or something like 500 rpm. The answer would change my thinking about this.

Apparently I accidentally twisted the needle itself and caused it to become off. So I just pulled the needle off, turned the engine on, watched the RPM on the ultragauge and matched it. So far so good. This was a stupid thread, Ill delete it in a few

Hehe, I never would have thought of that! Yep, that'll do it.

I'm not sure you can delete a thread. Need a mod, or just let it fade into obscurity.
