LOL I used to sell those hoods. They look great for about 6 months then the sun gets to them and the look like crap.

Yea and then you paint them. The biggest problem is even with expensive carbon hoods after a few years they crack, usually because people slam or drop them shut so after awhile they crack away.

that is signs of poor quality carbon fiber, and poor construction, not enough support in them or to thin period. carbon fiber should be much stronger and lighter than steel. and for that price that hood should not had those issues. im not saying it doesnt have those issues as i would not be surprised if they do, but yeah $750-1000 for a hood it should be a quality part, now if it was a carbon fiber hood for like $300 yeah that would be a fair price for some crap that you guys are describing.

but along with that, why oh dear Lord why would you put that on your 4runner? i mean really, whats it gonna save, 5 lbs? if you wanta shave five lbs off your 4runner, take the damn spare tire out. lol
