If the V8 is also readily available in the 5th Gen 4Runner. Which engine option would you buy?

Ha! ha! here are the CONDITIONS so everybody can vote:

- That all older generations(1st,2nd,3rd and 4th) are banned from the streets, and we are only allowed to drive the 5th gen 4Runner.
- And we all receive $40K bonus:banana: ( just to buy that 5th gen)
- And gas is steady in today's price at $3/gal
Whatever your purpose of your vehicle(towing, DD, offroading etc) consider those when choosing wether you buy the V6, 4cyl(I4) or the V8(assume its offered) :driving:

I know this is your poll, but don't you think the conditions you put into it are a bit influential toward the results? After all, how many people receive a $40,000 bonus to buy a new vehicle? I guess if you just created this poll for our amusement, that's fine. But other than that, it just seems so out of whack with reality that I'm not sure what the results could possibly mean.

BTW, if anyone wants to give me $40K to buy a new vehicle, I promise I'll buy a 5th gen 4Runner, with any engine you want me to.

There has to be a bit of fantasy so we can decide freely.
Don't mind those childish conditions..
I'll just ask,
"If you have the money in your hand($40K) intended to buy a 5th gen, assuming the V8 is also available, what engine option will you choose?"
nothing more nothing less. IMO what influenced greatly is the fuel cost, its $2.85 to $3.17 here where I live.
And if the V8 is also out of whack with reality since only V6 and I4 are offered, then so be it.

The new 4.6 is what I expect should Toyota decide to put the V8 in the 4Runner.

No, not the 2UZ-FE that's in the 4th 4Runner gen. It's the V8 from the UR engine family, specs are 310 hp and 327 ft·lb for the Tundra with the 4.6 V8. I don't think it's the same 4.6 V8 in the GS460 either, definately not the same as the LS460's.
