I think that's what amazes/scares me the most. What people are essentially saying yes to by saying yes to Trump. Either they don't want to admit the racists/bigoted stuff is indeed that. Like it's just under the category of why we aren't great anymore. Too PC. Or they secretly believe the stuff, but just don't want to admit it. In most cases (not saying here) I would say it's the latter.

Btw in many many US tribes your only need something like half of a percent of native American blood to be considered native American.
Did you hear about the supreme Court case a few years ago where the father was suing under that act that protects native American children from being taken away? He was like 1/32 native American and legally recognized as NA by the court system. His case went all the way to SCOTUS.

Look, I don't think Trump is a great guy. I don't think he represents the best America has to offer. Personally, I think he's just a mouthy blowhard.
I (and anyone else I've talked to that is NOT a straight ticket democrat voter for life no matter what) absolutely despise Hillary, her pathological lies, her Mega-Streisand ego, and everything she represents. Hillary only has contempt for the "peons" beneath her. IMO She is a very ugly person (I'm speaking of personality here).
A vote for Trump, IMO, is NOT a vote saying he is the answer. A vote for Trump is a vote by a disgusted American who feels this is the only peaceful way to give a big, fat middle finger to our government and hope they get a clue before the next election.
It would be even better if somehow Bernie were able to get the nomination over Hillary. Then BOTH parties would be left scratching their heads, and hopefully both would be humbled enough to recognize the kick in the nuts from voters and reconsider how they've been going about things.
Ultimately, I would like to see Bernie and Donald fracture the two party oligarchy so badly that a sane, reasonable, intelligent centrist party might emerge and become the backbone of our government. We need to end the divisiveness, the "our way or the highway" mentality, and in place have a foundation that can reasonably look at an issue from a non-partisan (normal, not extremist) viewpoint and make policy decisions that will benefit the country as a whole. I know, pie in the sky, it'll never happen... but if we vote Hillary in, that is basically a nod of approval to the status quo, to the establishment, and I do not approve of "the eatablishment" nor the way our government has been "running" the country.
The absolute worst thing about the democrat and republican parties are how they have divided and fractured America. The hate, vitriol, hypocrisy, lies and insults hurled by each party, towards OUR OWN fellow Americans is absolutely disgusting and I despise them both for this.

Actually, the worst thing to me is that only one of those persons is doing so by the threat of trampling on the civil liberties of OUR OWN fellow Americans. I just don't understand how anyone can think that is ok.

It's not that it is OK. It's that BOTH candidates are poison. Sometimes it's necessary to take a small step back to go forward. If Hillary is voted in, nothing will change. There will be no opportunity for moving past where we are. The elite will delude themselves into thinking "we won, everything is fine. Back to business as usual."
Thanks to our system of checks and balances, social media, and hate the press loves to heap upon any mis-step or controversy for clicks, I don't believe Donald will be allowed to run roughshod over the civil liberties of actual, legal Americans.
