Funny I know a Coctail guy that has a 4runner just like yours with the speaker and everything. :thumb3:

It is a JD Fab kit that I get 12.5" of travel with the straps and bumpstops, I built it to go fast - with the 3.0 I don't want/need to slow down for big bumps - It has T100 axles like most of the long travel stuff on them. ARBs front and rear, The winch is in a custom made cradle so it can be moved to the rear, IR headlight for night ops .

That's 5 kinds of awesome. I don't know there was a commercial long travel option besides TC and Blazeland.

ETA - yup, I dig the crap out of that. What a nice truck they have displayed, too.

The 12' of travel out of the IFS is pretty sweet... How much travel do people get with a blazeland Lt?

NO, I am not into advertising, They asked if I would take some pictures when I was done with it and send them, so I sent them some, then a buddy calls a few months later and lets me know that it is on their site. I didn't even know they put it up there till he told me.

I know on the 3.0, but I have been into wheeling and racecars for 20+ years -Damn I am OLD - and I just can't see the cost vs. gain out of doing a 3.4 swap, but I can say the 4.7 V8 is what I would do if I did one. On my old 84 Xcab I had tons of stuff done to the 22r, 45mm SK sidedrafts, NOS fogger setup and everything to back it up, but it was still a 4cyl, I raced a buddy across the sand with his 87Xcab W a "Built" LOL "400HP SBC" and stomped him, when he started to catch air and the truck started to buck like a bull he shut it down quick LOL, in a drag race on the street he would STOMP me, but going fast over rough stuff is another story. If I wanted a race truck, I would build one .
And yes it is expensive, I could have done 3 SAS conversions for what I have into the front of it. But is is REALLY FUN!!!!!!!!!!!

I have 4.56 and 31s on purpose, my last 90 runner was a SAS with 38s and some crazy suspension in the rear. However it is nice using cruise, air and just having it be nice to drive, reliable AND be able to beat on it.
I really built this to do some High Speed Varmint hunting.

nothing wrong with the 3.0 i can go pretty fast in mine. i can cruise at 75+ and have no problems passing cars. plus im auto!!

i havent figured out how much travel i get out of my Blazeland yet. im sure im not getting the full travel since im running stock locations for shocks. i have tons of droop and i should get just as much compressing but the shocks will bottom out.

I think your limiting factor will be your factory bumpstops, you could remove the rubber bumper or better yet just shear some off.
I cut mine of completely to get to where I am at and am only running a 8" shock. It will do 13.125" but I don't want to be running against the shock for the stops.

i already have low profile bumps. the problem is finding a stock the will fit in the stock location that will extend and compress the amount i want. the old shock i had allowed me to compress to the low profile bumps but limited my droop. my new shocks allowed more droop but fell short at hitting the bumps on compression. thats why if i cut the upper shock mount off and extend it up more. i can get the most out of my new shock. its the only way imo
