I recently bought a 99 4Runner Sport, and lately I have been experiencing a small problem with the ignition. I thought it might be the starter, but I am not sure.
Periodically, when I turn the key to start the car, the interlights come on but I get no ignition, nothing, no clicking, no engine turning over, etc.
Then, I just simply turn the key off, then back on again and it always starts right up? Could this be the starter starting to go bad?
In my past experiences with starters, they would make a scratching or clicking sound....
Any advice?
