Hi Guys!

I am from Germany and I have a question.
I am searching for a switch of a 3rd Gen 4Runner, to bulit him in my 2000 Celica. In fact, I mean the “rear window lock switch”.

Its This here:

Because, when I reserached correctly, this switch is the only window lock switch, which is illuminated and fits in the Celica.

My question is: Has anybody this switch in his 4runner, and can take a picture of the illumination of this switch?

That will be great! Thank you very much and kind regards,
Ben

P.S. If anybody has this switch for sale, please Pn me! :D
Otherwise, I have to order the switch at a Toyota dealer in the US. I think, that will be difficult.

Huh, my runner doesn't have any locking switches for the rear window. Your celicas rear window moves??? Germany is full of surprises lol

Oh btw, you guys are getting your fourth star today!!! I'm rooting for you!

Hi Nicolas! :)

Our Celica rear window dont move - i only want to change my non illuminated side window lock switch to the illuminated one from the T4R - because I am a fan of decent illumination in the cockpit...every switch must light up!! :D

Yeeeah! I hope, we can hit Messi & Co. today! Thx! :thumb3:

But I think, our team goes too euphoric in this final, because of the high win against Brazil. That could negatively affect! Brazil only has had a bad moment. :dizzy:

Good performance from your US Team around Klinsmann! :thumb3:

Regards,
Ben

My '99 SR5 does not have it. The back window locks out with the rest on the door handle master switch and that's it. It was used on these models in North America.

My '99 5-speed SR5 V6 is not one of them.

It is listed as used on these European market models. Have you tried a dealer there?

It's part number 84821-35020. Image Google this number and you will get the pic you posted. It appears it was only used on lower-range models that did not have power windows in the front. I believe those are not very common here. In all my years on here, I have never seen a post about manual windows.

I would think one of the on-line dealers would ship it to you. Here's one that says they ship international:

As one who lived many years in Brazil and who roots for the Seleçao, I'm rooting for the Germans this afternoon. Good Luck! Your team certainly exposed all the weaknesses of ours and played extremely organized football.

Hey Durk!

Thank you for the detailed information! :)

Well, now that you say it, with the non power windows.
Now i know, why the manual says "w/o Power Window". I thought it was a bug in the manual, because i cant believe, that the 4Runner was delivered without power windows, also! :scared:
Okay...I see...the 4Runners with power window has the switch as a little square button on the power window contoll unit...Obviously, my needed switch must be external in the cockpit! :D

Thanks for the Link! I will ask my local German dealer at first, but I think, the switch will be very expenisve in Germany as usual! Already my standard non-illuminated Celica switch costs 115 Dollar...:twitch:

OT: Only 1,5h to kickoff! :D

Greetings,
Ben

Little Update:

I got the switch from a US Toyota Dealer in Michigan, today.

I updated the color from green to amber and installed the switch!
Looks fine. :) Okay...its a symbol of a rear window and not a side window, but the meaning is the same! :D
