Glad to hear you are getting a satisfactory resolution on your Volvo issue. Nothing more aggravating than car trouble particulary when the car is new!!

I saw your post about looking at the 3 vehicles-4Runner, Taco and Tundra. I too am (was) looking at all 3 but I have since narrowed it down to the Tundra. Unless I missed it you didn't say if you drove the Tundra. I test drove one and I was impressed but I was hoping to get feedback from someone else and as I posed earlier a response to Pitbull I am curious if others have had legitimate concerns with the Tundra.

All Toyotas that I have been involved with are quite reliable
and the 4Runner is as good as it gets!

I am a sparse user of this great forum but I have to take issue with you here. I own a Tacoma now and had one before and collectively have put about 335K miles on these trucks and NO PROBLEMS-the ride is not great and there are little things I would change but reliability has NEVER been an issue. One reason I am replying also is I have decided to get a Tundra over 4Runner as I really need a truck-don't get me wrong I think the 4Runner is great but I also believe the Tundra is the best truck by far in its class also-and the reliability tests do back this fact up.

I am unable to get on the tundrasolutions website-please inform me of the Tundra problems--I may be wrong but I have never heard of any quality issues before your posts.

Joe not saying the Tundra's are "BAD" just that they seem to have more problems then the new 4runners. I think the reason is where they are built and where they get their parts. You need to go to the TS Solutions site and read owners comments, nothing that would make me not pick a Tundra over any other PU Truck but things you might want to be aware of before you buy.

well, this timing is going to be very critical at this point. I wish I could just 'reserve' a 4Runner now so I knew it would be available when the settlement is over with. I got a letter from my attorney today which said:

Someone from our office will contact you directly to set up a time to drop off the vehicle and sign the paperwork once the defendant's checks are ready.

Please be advised that the settlement process normally takes about 6 weeks to complete.

In addition, some manufacturers require confirmation of the return of the vehicle in an undamaged condition before releasing the settlement checks to you and/or me. Therefore, it is possible that you might not have a vehicle for a few days after your vehicle is returned.

Well, I guess I just have to sit back and wait, and hope that there is a 4Runner available with the options I want at the time that I go to buy one.
