I know, I know, shouldn't have used plastidip in the first place--but like many others, I got caught up in the plastidip craze. But it NEVER peels off like it does in all those fancy youtube videos!

Things I was really happy having plastidipped: door handles. it covers the fine fingernail scratches that dont buff out and isn't cold to touch in the winter.

Things plastidip is not good for if you ever want it to peel off (with less than 2 hours of fingernail scraping): everything else, especially wheels.

I've learned my lesson

After having to scrape that crap off a set of wheels I bought, I would never spray it on anything. Either paint it right or don't bother.

Haven't done plastidip because I just haven't really cared too much to mod the outside of my truck and chrome doesn't really bother me too much. I've seen more than enough horror stories about trying to remove it too and I just don't care to go through that.

X3 on user error. If you don't put enough coats, it won't peel off nicely, and I imagine it would be awful to try and remove. You don't just paint till you've got full coverage, you'll want another few coats after that point, 4-5 coats altogether kind of thing.

it definitely doesn't peel off, especially after baking in Arizona 115 degree weather. But I used a youtube idea that worked very well and it just wipes off.
