Its a great excuse to buy a few more tools (longer handle ratchets, power tools, etc.) to make your life easier.

Would you mind posting the publication number for the manual you bought.
Manual I have is old as dirt 1991 340 E F H, no front cover don't know my pub #.
Wondering if your FSM covers 01-02 Trans & Transfer case.

All I have is the same one you have. 1991 pub #RM216U. A guy had a 340H and transfer case on CL locally so I went to look at, but I knew when I saw it it wasn't going to work. I do believe that many of the internals are the same. He had the manual and only wanted 20 bucks for it so I bought it even though mines a 1999. I still think it's going to be a big help. Better then flying blind.
I was 17. I have most of the tools I need. Borrowing a friends trans jack. One thing I do need is a decent work light. The one I have is junk. Time to move into the 21st century and buy an LED. Oh, and a shit load of 1/2 and 3/8 extensions. I have a few, but looks like I'm gonna need more.

Manual has you covered for what your working on, 01-02 added shiite, have 01 now looking for latest version.
Shallow swivel sockets with electrical tape around swivel fit nice at bell housing top.
