I'm the proud new owner of a 04 4r LTD

I think I scored today. Picked up a really 4runner with 109,000 miles on it. The service manager was the previous owner and had traded it in yesterday, had just finished the safety check when I saw it. It's not 4WD, but considering that the one I was looking at the was a 4WD had 177k on it, I think I can live without it!!!

Timing belt and all fluids changed at 95k.

I want to thank all those who have answered my questions the past week.

The plan on putting Kings on soon and the Armor bumpers.

Congrats.. And just so you know these things when serviced accordingly will see well past 200K.. My V8 4WD has 178K and still runs like new..:lookout:

I have the history on all the services. Not too worried about reliability. I had gone in to look at 4wd with 177k. Then I saw this one and opted to go with less miles and worry about adding 4wd later if needed.

My wallet is about to get a whole lot lighter!!!! :reddance:

Those are the factory Toyota all weather floor mates.
I have a set in mine, and already need replaced as a hole is started in them where your foot sets when accelerating.

@ Cory, Very nice and well keepped up. You know if the manager owned it, maintenance was always taken care of.

I have the same problem with my factory carpet ones, mainly the pass. side. I wonder if the Weather Tech Premium ones hold up any better?

Congrats. The drivers seat is in amazing condition. Suggests to me perhaps the miles were mainly highway miles. Nice find.

Thank you. The only thing I've found so far that needs attention are the struts and shocks. I se that you re running the 5100's. What setting do you have on
the front and what is the mod on the rear?

Ultimately I want to go with Kings. But for now I think I may just go with the 5100's and keep reading up on suspension options.

I'm in Florida....aint nothing to jump here lol.....

I'm from San Diego, when I was younger, the Socal desert was my playground.
 
So after a few hundred miles I'm certain that the suspension is worn out. The rear feels like it bottoms out over speed bumps regardless of how slow I creep over them. The steering is good but I think both struts and the steering damper may need to replaced.

Due to budget I am going to go with Bilstien 5100 adjustables up front and 5125's in the back. I want to level the runner so not sure if I should just go with 5100's all around. EMU for the steering damper.

Do you guy's think I need to worry about new rear springs? Those of you with miles in the 120k range, what other stuff have you had to replace so far?

Down the road I want to go with a true suspension lift. I need to make a list of everything that is involved with that.
