Inclinometer - Going to the limit of rolling over.

Thanks for the numbers. From experience, I can almost guarantee that most drivers want to change their pants long before approaching 42 degrees and probably at 30 degrees. That kind of lean is VERY unnerving. Plus it never happens in a nice safe area either.

Also movement, traction, tire type and inflation pressure could all change that roll over point in the real world of wheeling.

I placed an order for the Inclinometer. I purchased the #45C and added the fore and aft meter. I was able to get a custom label and coloring of the numbers (white, yellow, and red). I'll post a pic once it comes in. It came to $39 and measures approx 3" by 6". R&B was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Good look at their site. I just called and got the standard #45 too. Just to see how my pucker factor compares to the real angle of attack.

Now, where to put the meter? I was thinking to the upper left from the steering wheel next to the vent. Or a slick possibility would to attach it with velcro to the sunglass holder (middle roof). Hit the switch, out drops the holder, attach the meter when wheeling. Sounds good to me...

Or, if you never put sunglasses there, maybe you could modify the sunglass holder to make a permanent mount?

I'm thinking about a couple of the clear round Velcro tabs. One in the center of the dash area, and one on the door. I anticipate that my use of the gadget will be infrequent so I'll keep it in the glovebox. The Velcro tabs will be removed when I return from Moab.

Did you get two? #45 can be customized to add the fore and aft meter (additional $11) as well. One unit to cover all angles.

No I purchased only one. I figure that I'll be leaning one direction or the other. I passed on the add-on unit as my goal was small and easy to keep in the glove box. Cheap, well maybe, but then I am spending $880 tomorrow to replace my lift with the Revlok unit.

Getting the Revtek kit? What lift kit do you have now? The fore to aft meter was an additional $11. After spending $880 I can see why you decided to save the extra $11. Why aren't you doing it yourself? If you were in the CO area, I would help you with it. Good luck.
