Indecisions, 4runner vs. FX35

The 4Runner is a truck the FX45 is a car, the FX drives like a lifted AWD G35: and feels like a car, I've been in the 4Runner and an FX pulls up next to me and they look like sports wagons

Both come with OEM crap tires for their premium price tags

I was looking at the FX45, X5 and the Touareg along with my 4Runner. I went with the 4Runner for a few reasons. My last 4Runner is still going strong at almost 200,000 miles (my parents have it) and the 45 and VW have not been around long enough to know how reliable they are. The 4Runner has more cargo space behind the rear seats which I knew I was going to need with the now 2 kids we have. Finally I could get a V8, which I've never had, for under $40000 with leather and all the other goodies. It is hard to beat the sound of this truck with aftermarket exhaust under acceleration.

My only regrets have to be my real desire for something sportier. The other 3 have nicer interiors and more car-like rides. I am still not sure they would have satisfied my taste for something sportier though. I think I need a 3rd car for that

Something sportier, did you get the X-Reas that in itself turns the 4Runner into a sporty car

Again, The FX is a sports car and a lot of fun to drive. The Tech package is a must. Rear Back up camera, Inteli cruise control, inteli key and NAV are very cool.

The seat controls are in a bad place. If you are a big person they may get in your way.

Cargo space is def better on the 4runner.
If snow is your main concern I would get a set of snow tires. Check out this video of an FX driving with snow tires. The FX sounds so good.

I don't have XREAS, but that might have helped a little. I am talking sporty like M3. No SUV can give me that!

haha, I think the SUVS that can measure up to the performance of an M3 would probably be the FX45 and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo (Too expensive though). I'll be test driving the FX35 and 4Runner soon though to make a final important decision.

One's a car, one's a truck. Figure out which you want and you've got your answer. Comparisions of driving impressions and the like are pretty much useless, as the 2 vehicles are built with 2 totally different missions in mind......
