My truck currently has a big 'ol bumper and no extra lighting on the front. I had originally planned to hook up some type of 55w driving light to the original factory harness but plans have changed. I got a pair of those 100w HF lights from a buddy for nothing. I'm pretty sure that 200w total is more than I want to run through factory wiring but I would really like to use the turn signal stalk control.
Does anyone see an issue in changing the constant on fog mod a little more by also bending up the factory relay out pin (same method as splicing onto the input pin) and using that to supply power to a heavier relay to control the fog lamp circuit? Just a thought I had this morning, but wanted to pass it along to wiser minds first.
My other option would be to run it off one of the fog lamp wires in the harness, but I'd prefer to leave them alone if at all possible.
