Information about a rear locker

Today, I installed the turn signal stalk with the fog light switch. While I was there, I did more wiring and saw two wire plugs sitting behind the dimmer switch.

Is this an indication that my 4runner (1997 4x4) is already wired for a rear locker? and I am missing the switch, locker ECU and a locking rear differential?

Thanks

Must 4runners have the wiring for the locker in the wiring harness but not all.

The connector for the locker switch will only have two wires connected to it, so that might be a good way to tell. But more times than not, people have posted up here a picture of two unused connectors behind the dash and they turned out to be unused connectors for heated seats or other items, instead of the locker switch. You could try looking up in the drivers side kick panel area and see if you can find the connector for the 4x4 ECU. If that's there, then your odds of being pre-wired are much better.

If you aren't pre-wired don't sweat it. I did my retrofit wiring the OEM style, and it wasn't difficult at all.
