Information needed from 5 speed V6 owners

Hi,

I want to know what is the RPM at 68 MPH for 5vzfe with 5 speed transmission. A friend of mine in Australia got a prado with the same setup and he clams he get 110 KMPH (68 MPH) at 3000 RPM. I got an A/T therefore I cannot help him.

I only get down to roads straight enough for 68mph about one a month. Next time I head down the mountain...
I haven't been out of 4 low in 2 weeks I think.

cant remember exactly but im almost sure i get more than that, probably about 75+mph

Yeah I don't hit 3000 RPMs until 80 MPH.

With the R150F gearbox (5th is 0.848), a 4.1 rear end, and 265/70R16 tires (diameter is 31", according to a chart I found online) a vehicle at 3000rpm is traveling 80.527 mph.

Now, that same chart also indicated those tires may have a diameter of 30.5", and some vehicles may have a 3.9 rear end. In that case, 3000rpm gives 83.291 mph.

30.5" and 4.1 gives 79.228 mph.

31" and 3.9 gives 84.656

Well then, assuming it is regeared...

if 4.1 gears give 80 at 3k,
4.58 gears would give 71 at 3k
4.88 gears would give 67 at 3k

FWIW, the 5th gear ratio is .838:1

Yes, 0.838, and that is what I had used in the spreadsheet. I mistyped when entering the number here. So, my mph numbers stand as above.

I get the same performance, 80-82 at 3000rpm.
