Install JBA high caster UCA before my lift arrives due to safety?

My existing OEM UCAs on my 2006 Limited 4x4 are extremely worn and need to be replaced, the driver side UCA ball joint is borderline unsafe at this point. I drive about 35 miles a day for work. My JBA High Caster UCAs came in today but my suspension lift (2.5") is delayed and will be another 1 to 2 weeks getting here. I had hoped to get everything delivered around the same times and tackle it all in once weekend.

Am I safe to install my JBA High Caster UCAs now with no lift and deal with it for a week or so until my suspension comes in. My existing tires (stock size) are trash and new ones have been ordered (due to be delivered tomorrow) so I'm not really worried about the effect on my current tires. New tires will installed after suspension arrives and I can get an alignment.

My concern is continuing to drive with bad/unsafe upper ball joints for the next week or so. I've searched forums/Google and can't find a consensus on if I'm okay to install the new UCAs with no lift temporarily.

If you have the time maybe swap em out, it's not hard.
Although there's not a ton of load on that joint os unless you were off-roading I doubt catastrophic failure would occur. Most people don't even pay attention to this stuff and I don't see a lot of 4runner on the side of the road with failed UBJ's

Go for it. Other than jacking the car up, removing the tires, there shouldnt be a ton of duplicate work.

Make sure you get a good pickle fork or ball joint separator tool. It may be pretty tough to get it out of the steering knuckle after all these years and if its failing. Mine was

Its fine to run the new uppers. Especially if the old ones are shot.
