Installation issues: Shrockworks Rock-Sliders

I am trying to install Shrockworks rock-sliders on my 2007 T4R SR5 V6 4WD.

I ran into some issues on the driver side. It seems like others in this forum had similar issues but were able to ultimately resolve them and looks like everyone with Shrockworks sliders are quite happy.

When I am trying to install the front driver side slider U-bracket onto the frame, I am having the following issues:

1) The 6" bolt is supposed to go from inside out i.e. the nut should be on the outer side. But brake-lines are in the way and it is difficult to position the bolt because of the interference from the brake lines. Did everyone who installed this slider have to just un-hook the brake lines and drop them down? There are two sets if plastic (white) fasteners/mounting brackets for the brake-lines. Do I need to separate the brake-lines from both?

Expat did note that SW should try to streamline this install a bit - and I 100% agree!! The installation instructions does not mention anything about re-positioning the brake-lines. It's mentioned implicitly in Step 9:

"Tighten all six bolts and reinstall any unclipped lines or removed pieces."

2) Without bending the 6" bolt, how do you get it thru the inside slider U-braket hole and over the frame to the outer hole of the slider U-bracket? It's a pretty tight spot.

I was able to dis-lodge the plastic mounting brackets (3) securing the brake lines in the front and loosen them, pull them down and therefore able to push the driver side front slider U-bracket to go up all the way.

However, the problem is when the rear most slider U-bracket goes up between the gas-tank and the frame, two of the brake-lines are in the way. So I released them from couple of plastic clips mounted on top of the frame and pushed them inward temporarily with a flat-head screw-driver to make way for the slider U-bracket to slip thru and go up all the way up untill the base rests with the bottom of the frame.

Now the issue is: when the slider U-bracket goes up all the way and is ready to be bolted down, these two brake lines are touching/rubbing the outside of the slider U-bracket lip. In this position, the brake-lines cannot be put back into the original plastic mounting brackets on top of the frame any longer. This is a metal-to-metal contact and I am not comfortable with the brake-lines rubbing the sliders. This can potentially damage the brake-lines if there is constant moving and rubbing of these parts.

Is this the way Shrockworks rock-slider is supposed to be installed with contact between the brake-lines and slider U-bracket?

Can there be problem of damaging the brake-lines and losing fluid pressure?

One idea that can be done is, the section of the brake-lines which are touching or rubbing the slider U-bracket, I have installed two rubber tubes (approx. 6'-7' long) as a jacket on the brake-lines. When I re-install the slider, the contact will be with rubber jacket - not metal-to-metal. Will that be a acceptable installation?
