did you cut that opening right there on the spot or did you take the center console door off and unscrew the black plastic lining and make your cuts after it was all apart?
I'm itchin' to do something like this in mine, but my Dremel skills need some work.
BTW...what cutting attachment did you use on the Dremel? A cutting wheel or a cutting bit?

What did you tap into for power for the Omnifi player?

I haven't "secured" the wire yet from the control unit. Right now, it runs through the hinge area of the flip out part, and underneath the pop up center console lid, down inside the big compartment, and out through a drilled hole.
I tapped the power from the same power lead as my head unit (from the stock wiring harness). Same thing with the ignition power.

love the headunit and have been searching for a while now. Know for sure that the JVC KD-DV5100 is out (no interface available) but were you able to find one for your headunit?

No luck yet... but I haven't looked around either. I just gave up on it and will look into that task again "after" I find a diversity adapter for the radio first. My radio stations are not coming in clearly because I can only use 1 of the antennae cables. I bought a Y-adapter from Sounddomain, but that doesn't fit (2 full size to 1 full size, whereas the 4R has 1 mini and 1 full).
That JVC HU is neat. Nice novelty. But, due to having only those two main circular (directional) buttons, it lacks the versatility of other HU's and you have to press buttons MANY times to get to what you want. That gets really annoying, and the remote doesn't control all the functions either... you would think that it would, considering that the remote has about a billion buttons on it! I'm happy with it though, 8.5 out of 10.
