Installed new roof basket

its a rola, with no extension. I welded it together, looks better and will keep the water out. Next are blistein 5100s for the front, hoping for more lift. Im thinking the stock struts are pinning the front down. The 881s were very hard to get on the stock struts, so i think its holding the front down, WE WILL SEE….

yes, i didn't want it up too high. I managed to use the hardware they gave me, just didn't use it like they suggested.

Could you toss up a few pictures of the mounts? I've got the rack in my garage waiting to go on, but I want to make lower mounts first. Trying to get a good idea of how to do it.

those don't look like stock rails, OP might've just made a thin cross bar and mounted the rack onto that.

the rack is not a original, someone installed before i got it, but i think this will work with most racks. the front bolts all the way through into the roof into a threaded rivet. the back bolts through the rail. the mounts you see came as part of the mounting hardware….

I like the nerd bars installed better. Off looks good too, but the bars add function.

I have the same basket on mine. I like it a lot. Good choice. There are a lot more expensive ones out there, but they seem to all do the same thing. I liked the build quality of this one also.
