installed ome 2885 have issue

Installed my 2885 springs, removed my spacer lift. I have a 2006 4runner 4.0 v6 The problem is now it seems like its bottoming out has a metal on metal sound, have lubed everything, removed end linkds and installed, ball joints are fine. Brand new struts....I also read that you need the coil seats and must run the nitro master struts....Can anyone help

Was everything assembled properly? Which shocks did you use?

yes have stock style gabriel struts in front, been through it with 4 techs it really sounds like the ome struts and plates need to be installed...calling arb tomorrow

Were those Gabriel struts designed for longer stiffer springs? Wouldn't be surprised if you are hearing them top out.

OP, iirc, the only ome coil you can use with stock struts is the 883, and any coil taller than that (884,885,886) must be run on an extended length strut to accomodate both the higher spring rate and longer lift coil
