No nothing special, I think the factory exhaust is a 15mm in the front and 14mm in the rear. The rear section was the biggest pain cause you have to remove the bolts from the top which makes it more of a pain. Putting the new on is simple, just one piece at a time starting at the front. Good to spray some wd40 on the exhaust hangers to make it easier to slide the exhaust in. Once everythings in place make sure you're not rubbing or hitting anything then tighten from front to back. Hope that helps.

Thank you for the tips. Got it installed today and it took 30 mins tops. Definitely "droney" but tolerable. I suspect it will get louder as the exhaust breaks in. Overall I am happy with it and pleased with the side exit. Now I can drive with the back window down without the exhaust gases coming in.

Here ya go hope this is what you were looking for. Sorry it's not the greatest as it was kind of a pain to hold the measuring tape and take a pic at the same time. The tip is about 17" down from the seem.
 
manofsteele2003, I installed this on my truck last night and found that I had to remove a piece of the black molding behind the mudflap in order to allow the tail pipe to clear without touching. It's difficult to tell from your photos, but did you have to as well?

He did cut his out. I opted not to on mine however there is a slight rattle off load. Its hardly noticeable but ill probably end up doing the same thing.
 
Nice! I was looking for this one, but ended getting the one with the straight end out the back. I got a steal on it, I paid $560 Shipped.
 
Improved system mods to 3" exhaust

Your Magnaflow pipe and muffler looks great. I imagine it helps with performance.

The whole 3" exhaust system idea would be greatly improved by removing the stock 2.25" exhaust Y joint just past the 2nd set of catalytic converters. It could be done by replacing the 2.25" Y with a 3" Y. The 2.25" Y section is the smallest restriction in the whole stock system. And this would retain the California exhaust standards.
Here is an illustration of the stock exhaust system parts. Click on the two illustrations for enlarged views and a parts list. Notice the Y section where the two pipes converge just past the 2nd cat.

Any custom muffler shop could cut and weld transitions from 2.25" to 3" pipes and a new Magnaflow 3" Y before the pipe heads back toward the muffler. It's all very close so the conversion might also require moving the 2nd, left cat back a ways, or moving the Y downstream a bit, in order to fit the transition. Here are some of the required parts:

Another possibility is to cut off the 2.25" Y section and convert the two 2.25" pipes to two 3" pipes extending back to a dual inlet muffler from Magnaflow. Magnaflow offers several variants on their 5" by 11" x 22" oval muffler with 3" pipes; dual inlet/dual outlet, dual inlet/single outlet and single/single, which is what you have. The Y could occur past the muffler. The exhaust could be a 4.5" pipe (same volume) from the dual outlet muffler to the exhaust tip with a few pipe size transition and Y parts (past the dual exit muffler).

These larger pipe sizes occur on bigger trucks so why not adapt a larger exhaust pipe to a Toyota with a dual inlet/dual outlet exhaust muffler?

With this kind of enlarged exhaust system then an enlarged air filter or cool air intake might also make a difference in performance.

Does anyone know if you can just get a side exit muffler section? I just want the exhaust to exit from the side so I don't get burnt when loading/unloading the truck.
