Installing b&m 70268 supercooler questions!

Hello, I've seen some people just hook up a hose between the send and receive line for transmission oil on the radiator so dirt won't get in and if the radiator eer gives out all the coolant won't just flush out. Is this safe? I'm only asked because I was concerned about any residual tranny oil remaining in there. Not sure of a way to flush it out. I believe I have a little gas siphoning pump that I could stick on it and flush it out with some water. Any opinions on this? And what hoses did you guys use? Was the one supplied enough? I bought some extra anyway.

PS: if anybody's wondering about doing this go to advance auto parts. I ordered it online and got like 30% off, with clamps+hoses+ etc it came to like 65.

Thanks!!

I just did this, I had an extra couple ft of hose and just ran the transmission ports on the radiator together using the stock hose clamps also.

Just in case a blow a internal hole in the radiator I don't want it leaking out and I didn't want tyranny fluid flung over everything.

I flush out with brake clean spray in on end then blow thru with air /blow gun to get old fluid out then install jump hose
