Installing fj springs R and L color ?

Hi I'm installing my fj springs and the rears have the same color on them and the fronts have differant colors. Does any one whitch one is R or L? Is the longer one driver side I'm Thinking? Thank you

I have a set of 2010 FJ Springs, so different colors... But I think the coil with the gray paint is the driver's side for any FJ Springs. Align the springs the same (rotationally) side by side. The driver's side will have one more coil on it (e.g. the gray paint on it). Rear are identical by the way! Hope that helps.

You definitely need to use whichever spring is longer on the driver's side. I'm almost certain that I used the yellow spring on the driver's side.

from everything i read and from doing the springs this weekend, the gray is the passenger and the green is the drivers side.

I can't remember the colors, I've posted it here several times though. If one is visibily longer, just use it on the drivers side, that's where it belongs.

Put the slightly taller spring on the drivers side. This helps compensate for your weight and the weight of the fuel tank all of which is on the drivers side. :wink2:

I have a set of fronts with the struts still on them from a FJ.
I dont see any color markings on the springs.
Is there any other way to tell which would be the drivers side?

Also can I use the struts from the FJ??

I installed 07 FJ coils front and rear and the Bilstein 5100s my 06 4x4 Sport V6, following the color coding for the fronts. I don't recall anything on the rears other than a single purple dot.

Problem is that front is perfectly level left to right at 35", but the rear is 35* on left and 37" on the right.

Are the rears supposed to have different colors left to right and I just missed that? If not, anyone have suggestions?

Rears are the same, L and R. Maybe it has uneven sag from previous owner. You can switch them around to see if they even out over time.
