installing head unit

anybody know how to install a head unit into a 4th gen 4runner? can someone help me out with instructions on how to remove the dash, install the head unit, and what parts i need? i (and i'm pretty sure some others on this forum) would appreciate this very much. thanks.

There is tons of information on this already. Try a search and look for the NAV install stuff. There are instructions there to tell you how to disasemble the dash and remove the stock radio. There is also wiring diagrams with wire color codes.

The whole dash or just the stereo? If you just want to get at the stereo, do a search for a post by Mr. Castulucci and upgrading his OEM nav system. He has a link in there with an excellent step by step tutorial (with pictures) on removing the head unit.

I shall attempt it this weekend (got my scion 6 disc unit already). looks intimidating...
