Hey guys here's a quick update. I considered deleting this thread because things are really pretty simple but wanted to leave it for reference just in case. Anyone with a brand new $40k vehicle might be hesitant to start breaking plastic plugs trying to remove them and unscrewing hose mounts and the sort, but things are real easy.
For easy and quick installation:
You will need a socket wrench, 10 and 12mm attachments,
A jack, with a wooden block or a soft folded towel or something to balance the slider on (optional if you're a beast and like to make things difficult)
See which plastic plug inserts need to be removed by lining up the sliders with factory screw holes, pop them out with flathead or prying tool
There's a small 90 angle piece of plastic mounted just north of the rear wheels which needs to be removed with the 10mm, this is what I was bumping into making the install difficult initially. Once these are removed things go very smoothly. You can see these and the plastic plugs in the bag in the attached pic.
Tips:
Obviously the 12mm is required to tighten the bolts provided by SSO. Always tighten one bolt lightly, then move to the diagnal bolt, and repeat the others, then. Tighten solidly in the same fashion
Also, use the provided hardware bag to package the plastic plugs and pieces you had to remove
Complete!
