Installing TRD Pro bumper trim pieces on SR5

I received the rear valance yesterday and hope to tackle this weekend.

•Long box at bottom is rear valance
•Parts above long box are the rear hatch handle panel/emblem/lettering/gasket, and small box far-right is matte black emblem/lettering blackout kit
•Tube at bottom is 3M wrap for the roof rails

Needless to say I have my hands full lol

When you replaced your rear hatch handle, is the Toyota logo, 4Runner lettering and rubber/gasket reusable or do I need to purchase new ones.

I already have the hatch handle and thought I could re-use the parts above.

I guess the emblems could be reused, but you would have to fully remove the old 3M tape and then reapply new tape. I was told the gasket/seal is not reusable, or at least not reliable (do it right).

I ordered the emblem/lettering cause I didn't want to mess with cleaning all the old 3M tape off and then cutting and reapplying new tape, but to each his own.

The gasket/seal is a must though. It was less than $3 so it was a no brainer.

The emblem/lettering blackout kit makes the completed handle panel switch really "pop". My friend said it now looks "dark & sinister" lol

Thanks for the info. The handle project will have to wait till next week then. No dealership in Houston has the gasket/seal so it needs to be ordered.

I will be doing the valance front and rear valance this weekend, thanks to all the info you provided.

If you have a 14'/15' you shouldn't have to trim anything. Just unbolt the old and bolt on the new, that's what my experience was anyways.

All great stuff here and the rides look good! I went with having my front matted by a local body shop. I thought about doing the TRD Pro look but decided against it as everyone near me is doing it. I work at a Toyota dealer so see it everyday.

Installed mine this morning. Took about an hour for the rear and a little longer for the front cause I had to remove the vinyl I had installed, lots of residue.

Thanks, I think it looks awesome. The trim is a different tone of black then expected though. I it's almost a gloss black compared to the upper grill. The vinyl I had installed more closely matched the upper grill then the factory pieces. Oh well it's all good still awesome

Front Valance - part number: 5390135240
Rear Valance - part Number: 5216935110
Clips - Part Number: 7539235220

I ordered 30 clips just in case.

Yeah $50 sounds real nice considering I spent $100 on getting mine done. Oh well I guess everything is just more expensive around here.

I was quoted $499 for the front valance and rear trim to be line x'd. :lol:

That's probably about right for line x though, there's a lot more work involved than vinyl. Plus I only had the front done.

Oh yeah, you can do it! I did it alone but would've been a lot easier with an extra set of hands! Here's what I ordered and it was more than enough:
