Intake & seats modified

s I modified my air intake this past weekend by removing the secondary carbon filter, installed a TRD air filter, and dremeled out the lower plastic tubing of the bottom of air box. Throttle is much more responsive and when the throttle is floored, it has a deep growl. Easy and took 10 minutes to do. Will check on mileage later. Who needs the K&N FIPK!!

Also modified my seats. I am 5' 11" tall and always felt that the front passenger seat was just too flat when I sat in it. Since there are no lower thigh support adjustment like the drivers side I removed the front seat bolts, loosened the rear seat bolts. installed 1 1/4" of zinc washers under front bolting, and replace front bolts with 10mm x 1.25 x 40mm bolts. In doing this modification besure bolts are a grade II or more as the seat belt anchor is attached to the seat and you need the bolt strength in case of an accident. Besure to also leave the rear bolts in when doing this and only loosen it as changing the angle of the seat will take up all the slack in the seat track. Be careful when tightening the factory bolts, the material is very soft and will strip easily. I also did this to my drivers seat as this gained me an extra 1 1/4" of thight support. My seats are great now. I can not believe how much of a difference lifting my passenger seat does for my comfort!

The seat idea is interesting! Nice way to adjust the seating position!

Gotta love easy filter mods! There are always neat ways to do things without buying someone else's idea!
 
I would love to see pics of this, has anyone else removed the secondary air filter? What happens to fuel milege?
Also does anyone have deer whistles?? Do they work??

As far as seating, I am 6'2'' and I need more leg room, any ideas.
My head is real thight to the roof now........

<B>Now, back on topic... adjusting the angle of the seat is a great idea.. much easier than modifying the foam cushion and adding foam on the front undersides....</B>
