Would you like the DT headers to have a Highflow catalytic converter?

Please update where in the Denver area you had your installed. once oil picks back up, i am seriously looking at doing this and would like a shop recommendation. Thanks!

I has taken a lot of asking around, but I finally found a spot. Mountain States Toyota in Thorton of all places gave me the best quote with a friends and family discount. I'll post of my final hours/labor cost once its done, but I'm looking at around $1,250 in labor, $100 in parts, plus tax. ~$1450 total

Toy Crawlers in Boulder quoted the work at $1,650 for the job.

Johns Offroad in Boulder considered doing it, but did not give me a quote yet.

well, being in the oil industry, anyone in Boulder will not get any of my business if i can help it!!

wow, over $2k when its all said and done! my '98 4banger was so easy to change back in the day and the headers were only $250!!

Yeah, my budget for this fix was 2k, and it should come right into that.

Boulder tends to have higher labor rates per hour, so yes, I would look in Denver for better pricing.

Holy cr*p..... I paid $750 for install and that even included changing my CV axles....

Can one of you that has already completed this install get some dimensions on the flanges from the OEM parts? I found a bunch of universal flanges in an exhaust catalog but I don't have an old part removed to measure myself.

Stock flanges are 60mm. 2.5" flanges are 63mm. Your fabricator should be able to weld a bead big enough to cover the 1.5mm difference around the piping.

Thanks. I should have been more specific with my request-I am looking for all of the dimensions listed in this picture:

I assume the measurement you're referring to is A?

Yes, I would be referring to A in the diagram. There should be enough clearance under there that any orientation of a 2.5" flange should be able to fit no problem.

FYI for anyone that's trying to find the proper flange that will bolt up to the OEM y pipe, the bolt holes on the original are 3-1/2" apart on center. I found these stainless flanges w/pipe earlier today. I ordered up a pair-not sure the pipe will be long enough to work but they aren't all that expensive to try considering what the headers and cats cost.

I seem to have misplaced my instructions from DT. Can someone please post up a copy? I'm mostly looking for the part about the dipstick spacer.

Not much to it but here you go.

Thank you sir. We are currently working to remove the old studs. I purchased a Gearwrench metric stud remover set and already broke two of the sockets. Also purchased an offset Powerbuilt stud removal tool and there isn't enough clearance. Last resort is to weld a nut onto it.:sniper:

Have my install scheduled for Wednesday at high tech auto... hoping it goes smoothly! Can't wait to feel the extra power unleashed!

So we finally got the old studs out and mounted the new headers for mock up. Attached are a few pics. Note about the dipstick. It is not clear in the instructions but the transmission dipstick must be completely removed from the vehicle for installation. After the header is bolted on then you can install the dipstick along with the supplied spacer.

Im excited to get these on my truck but not looking forward to the work. I was hoping to do it over spring break next week but some things came up and doesn't look like I will be able to get them on for awhile. :(

Cant wait to hear your input on their installation, I'll probably be using them too. I read earlier posts, so it appears you're providing the new studs and nuts, did they ask you to do that? And are you also changing the cats and/ or y pipe?
